Queen Nanny of the Maroons is the only woman among Jamaica's seven National Heroes — the spiritual leader who guided the Windward Maroons through the mountains in their fight for freedom.

The abeng, the cow-horn whose call once carried warnings and commands across the Blue Mountains, becomes both title and centrepiece: a symbol of communication, resistance, and cultural memory passed from one generation to the next.
